Fier-Play and Compete Proud Renew Partnership to Strengthen LGBTIQ+ Inclusion in Sports

Fier-Play and Compete Proud are glad to announce the renewal of their partnership following a successful collaboration with Pride House during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. This alliance aims to amplify their joint impact, develop inclusive initiatives, and foster a sporting world where everyone can truly belong.
What is Fier-Play?
Fier-Play is a French non-profit organization committed to promoting the visibility and inclusion of LGBTIQ+ individuals in sports. By supporting athletes, engaging with institutions, and advocating for inclusive policies, Fier-Play works to create a safe and respectful sporting environment for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
As the organizer of the Pride House · Paris 2024, Fier-Play brought the first-ever Olympic and Paralympic Pride House in France to life. The Pride House offered a welcoming space for LGBTIQ+ athletes, allies, and fans during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, combining celebration, education, and advocacy through exhibitions, testimonies, and events.
What is Compete Proud?
Compete Proud is an international platform promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in sports. Founded within the Olympic Movement, its team of experts, LGBTIQ+ athletes, and allies work together to ensure that sport is a safe and empowering space for everyone.
Compete Proud’s mission is clear: to allow everyone to compete with pride and authenticity. Their work spans national and international levels, creating bridges between sports institutions and LGBTIQ+ organizations to advance inclusion globally.

During the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris
Fier-Play and Compete Proud worked hand in hand to connect with LGBTIQ+ athletes and allies. Together, they co-organized roundtables at the Pride House, facilitated athlete participation, and conducted interviews that highlighted powerful stories of resilience, visibility, and inclusion.
This collaboration brought athletes’ voices to the forefront and helped strengthen the conversation around LGBTIQ+ rights in sports at one of the world’s biggest sporting stages.
